There is a clear difference here between Republicans and Democrats, I do believe. 14:09 and 9:51 are clearly Republicans and those with compassion for the person who has found herself in a difficult situation and trying to shed light on the entitlement of the rich folks are clearly democrats. I for one am an independent and I support both Republican and Democrat causes. I am well off due to a lot of hard work of my own, and I was raised in a welfare family. Now my elderly parents are well off due to my contributions to them and life is good. But I have seen first-hand how the best people can get caught in difficult life circumstances and it takes a community of people to raise them up. People can't do it all by themselves. Have some consideration for the OP and realize that you are privileged if you are complaining about having to pay full price for your kids' schooling. Only reason you are supposed to pay is because the people who really need the subsidies are getting it. And 14.47, how condescending can you get?

Your parents sound as though they raised you properly and you honor them with compassion to recognize there are takers, givers and those who are trying their hardest to become part of one group or the other. You people are fucking nuts. Selling your homes so your kids can go to private school? Jesus Christ, Montgomery County and Fairfax County have some of the best public schools in the country. Move 10 miles away and send your kids for free. Really it won't make any difference in the long run. You may think it will, but it wont.

+1 and my kids are in privates. Big waste of money, but hate to pull my kids out now. Just biding my time until 8th grade and then we are done!
