I agree with PP NCIVF is much easier than stimulated, but until I get a ++++ I'm not a fan of either.

I've done both and felt NCIVF was much easier and there is no down time between cycles, but I haven't been successful with either.

I'm considering trying NC, but isn't it the same as regular IVF minus a few shots?

PP you're right the OP clearly defied the odds, but none of us have a crystal ball to determine what we should put ourselves through in pursuit of having our own biological child. I'm willing to give NC IVF a try since I have tubal issues and my DH has poor motility. We are looking at no more than 3 cycles before moving on to DE.

Multiple IVF failures locally then at Cornell and I'm only 38, (34 when I started) so posts like this make me shake my head. Age is only part of the equation and I'm happy for the pp but we need to be realistic.

PP were they all stimulated IVF?

Just to put things into perspective, I had my first and only child at 43 after 8 IVF cycles. It can happen, but be prepared to really work for it!

Well DE is the best option according to my RE, but I would consider ncivf as well given your numbers.

I've done 3 cycles of IUI and 1 cancelled cycle of IVF due to low response. I'm 41 with normal FSH-9, high AMH, but low antral follicle count.

PP how many cycles have you done?

I read about this patient on bump.com or maybe another 47 yr old that got pregnant with her own eggs and I wonder what it means for us mid 40's hoping to defy the odds. It seems like mini IVF or NCIVF is the only option if we want to keep trying with our own eggs although their are some that have had success with high dose protocols and/or EPP. Honestly I'm at a loss to what our next step should be...

We had success once and I think that's what has made us unable to give up on having a 2nd.

For us we set a limit of 3 tries, but now we are considering a 4th, since we did get money back for the 1st cycle bc of premature LH surge.

Honesty, the only reason we have our son now is that my health insurance covered a great deal of the expense. I was physically ready to go through whatever I had to, but we would have run out of money long before I ran out of the will to try.

For us we quit when we ran out of money.
