A lot of talent is a stretch... There is one main talent that the team plays kickball towards and hopes she'll make something happen.
yep. And got lower tier players with parents who chased ECNL badge. Announcement will come next spring with the assumption that I expect little improvement.Anonymous wrote:By the end of the season next year, people will realize how much FVU has fallen off.
The Boys have already fallen off (they were never really on) and the girls are headed straight for the cliff with no guardrails in sight
ok .. just wait…. Will be back next year. Cant save what Gene and Tyler destroyed.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:thats not how it works. ECNL has standard of play. It’s not much better on the girls side once you cut out the 2012 and 2013 teams.
Would be a great boost to the competitiveness in the area if this club could get its act together. I don’t think it’s a case of too many teams, rather a lack of effort by this club to attract the 4-5 quality players they need from neighboring teams. Look at Villarreal, FPYC and grab a couple kids. I doubt anyone drives from more than 8-10 miles to play for FVU. What they have isn’t cutting it.
No, I don’t think so. It’s still money for ECNL at the end of the day and they’ve lasted this long with no accountability. They have a monopoly in Fairfax and will continue to exist until another ECNL club pops up.
Spoken with the false authority of somebody who has no clue. FVU is not going anywhere.

On the girls side, the 2012s just won the mid-Atlantic after beating Arlington and the 2013s went undefeated and won the mid Atlantic.
We didn't just beat them, we whooped them!!
Sometimes kickball works! Congrats!

FVU is definitely not losing ECNL.
Can 2012 style of play win at U15 and older like it has at U13 and U14?

Just because you play for any of the clubs in the "union" is absolutely meaningless and FVU is not beholden to taking any of them. The rising U13s are a good example of that.
When McLean was part of VA Union McLean held the ECNL charter so VA Union was not its own entity. This is very different from what FVU is. The entire FVU org is a scam from the "6 national titles" of a org that has only existed for 2 years to any 'union' or clubs that are supposedly part of it.
Its time we as parents wise up and stop getting conned...pre ecnl for bryc, valor, vienna etc means youre in position to make the RL team and thats it
BRYC is technically the club that holds the ECNL charter, but realistically if they didn’t align with Vienna it would have been taken from them.
There are no ECNL “charters”. Please stop talking about something you know nothing about.
This is not true FVU holds the charter. They are their own entity. When FVU was formed McLean and BRYC were stripped of their ECNL charters. BRYC only holds an RL charter as does Vienna. FVU is its own entity with is own board and tax filings. Don't post misinformation please. Families deserve to know the truth
