The maps are up for Bren Mar Park and it looks like the proposal is to shift it to Key and Lewis. They will have to start 6th grade at BMP as they are currently a pre-K-5 school. Unclear how they plan to do this but BMP is under construction at the moment, so perhaps when the construction is done they will have room for a few more classrooms. This will take 344 students out of Edison and add them to Lewis.

I like how they schedule it for a Friday night, hoping many won’t attend. Time to get ready for 6 months of arguing about which school gets stuck with Hagel Circle.

Yep.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I saw a forum questioning whether Armstrong and aldrin should consolidate
The question was why, given the current enrollments at Armstrong and Aldren, FCPS would expand Armstrong to 800 seats unless it intended to fold Aldrin into Armstrong.
The answer seemed to be that there was no indication FCPS had any such plans. Rather, FCPS simply expands schools regardless of the need when they are being renovated. And then, of course, they turn around and tell the schools that actually need expansions there is no money.
Follow the money.

As for Great Falls being sent back to Herndon from Langley, sure, anything is possible. But people have been saying that's going to happen for years, and it just isn't. Here's an old thread from 2013(!) talking about the possibility: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/45/314969.page
