You don’t publish a memo like this unless you’re fielding calls from major supporters about electability. Friedson has a lot of money in the bank, but it’s hard to see him climbing past both Glass and Jawando, especially because he’s so similar to Glass.
Nobody with any political acumen is in a tailspin about Glass' poll.
The primary between Elrich and Blair ended in only a 32 vote difference. Yet the February 2022 poll showed:
Elrich: 41%
Riemer: 12%
Blair: 11%
Hucker: 5%
No preference: 31%
The final July result was:
Elrich: 39%
Blair: 39%
Riemer: 20%
James: 2%
This February 2026 poll shows:
Glass 21%
Jawando 20%
Friedson 16%
Banerjee 1%
Undecided 43%
Nobody is polling high and most voters are undecided at this point. It is still anyone's race.
Let's see how the public hearings go in a week or so...about how people really feel about those Elrich tax hikes...and how they want councilmembers to respond.
