This is completely false. They did not have 13-15 outside girls at tryouts and they had combined the 2013-14 tryouts.
Arlington recruits--not all outside players have to tryout
That's dumb
You would judge a person's play on one day as opposed to perhaps four years of practice and games? No purpose at all to have existing players there. They know those players. If they were an 8 and played a 10 or a 6 on that day it would not matter. And having them there detracts from the ability to focus on the new people.
Sorry it is dumb. They take outside girls based on two practices but overlook the records of girls from other Arlington teams that have been playing on the red team.
Dumb unless you are trying to expand your customer base and drive profit.
How does it expand profit? There are X spots on a team. If they take an internal player from the second team, they just move a girl up from the third team to the second team, and find a new entrant at the bottom team. Never understood this line of reasoning. I have to go poop brb.
Because no one comes from another club for the 4th team. You won't have new entrants on the bottom.

not really, 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams especially at the high school ages are just money grabs

Not from Arlington RL.
Incorrect.
what age?
{silence}
I believe there are 1-2 RL girls on 2012 who are moving *back* to ecnl now that the roster size is increasing but they used to be on ecnl
Two separate Arlington RL conversations
going on at the same time.
Yes a few 2012s moving back to ECNL.
No the 2011 RL team does not have any ECNL starter level girls on the team.
Several girls from the 2011 RL team practice with the ECNL team but have never been called up to guest play in a game. It doesn't matter how high an RL team is ranked-it's almost impossible to make that leap to an ECNL team at that age, you have to look for other pathways.

Like what? Jump to a GA team and hope to be an ID player?

I can confirm 5-6 new ECNL girls for next year’s U13 (former 2014) age group.
Yes, all from outside, none from younger 2013
red or white girls; both have strong players. This is where Arlington falls down on developing existing talent.
No
