The cover-up from the highest levels of the county is the big story here. Coaches have been trying to cheat for decades. This was the first time FCPS supported it. That’s why it’s still a story.

They just did it so blatantly and got caught.

The bigger issue is the cover up which is still happening. Like the pedophile priests. Different issues between them and the system that covered up for them.

They paid the law firm a million dollars?

So FCPS paid a million dollars to say “mistakes were made”? At minimum the “mistakes of superintendent/principal should be disclosed.

Will be interesting how the local coaches respond to all of this. From the article it looks like they've been the ones keeping this from being a complete cover-up.

Can't we door dash a pizza to some TJ kids and get them to do some computer magic and find it?

Shoot, I saw there was a new Fairfax Times article and thought they had gotten their hands on the report. Just a summary and castigation of FCPS hiding the report.

Surely someone will leak it? Who has access?

Together all things are possible! says Reid.

(Except releasing a taxpayer-funded report on systemic malfeasance.)

Of course the SB is going to cover for Reid. She is the perfect Superintendent for them. A tireless social justice warrior that performs incompetently. She fulfills the SB’s wishes while doing so in a manner that makes the SB appear semi-competent.

Wow, Dunne is pretending that a one page letter is the full report that took a year or more and cost how much money? Where are the findings that let to the conclusions in the report?

This is really bad. Not only handled very poorly at the time - e.g., providing exoneration too quickly when they really didn't investigate fully. Then they tried to save face by saying external law firm would review.

Now back to Plan A where they gaslight (nothing to see here) and refuse to provide transparency. This is a public school system, funded by taxpayers - not Exxon Mobil. They've promised full accounting for the community and are now refusing to provide it.

The public knew about this early on. Kind of ridiculous to say that Reid did not know.
