I dont know about anything else but the USA has become really really expensive and honestly- the services just dent operate well. it's not a proper peaceful, functioning society. I am away for work a lot and it feels more like a developing country in terms of how easy it is to live. the UAE and EU are very high functioning in comparison and I'm a brown person so its not like I dont feel the racism in the ME. the US is going through some ish right now and it just feels very like--- why??- like when teenagers start blubbering and shouting about how life isn't fair and everyone else is like what the heck is going on with this kid?? there was no fundamental reason to become so unstable at such a quick pace ..


The cost of living crisis is worse in many Western European countries. It’s particularly bad in the UK. How much have you been paying attention?


It's not just the cost of living, it's quality of life. Poor services, tiny homes, heavy taxes, "free" medical care which is used only by those without the means to pay for private care, etc. People from many countries returning home for visits travel with suitcases filled with goods from Costco for their families, because so many things we have easy access to are unavailable or wildly expensive in their home countries. Some other countries do some things well, but most things not as well as we do them here. And, as always, your quality of life depends on where you choose to live within a country, and on your income. Poor people everywhere have a tough time.

Just talk to any immigrant, legal or otherwise, about how eager they are to return to their home country, or to leave the U.S. for a 3rd country. I have, and have yet to encounter anyone who believes the grass is greener elsewhere. They know; U.S. libs fantasize without personal experience.

+1. Health care, transportation, customer service - these work better in virtually every other country I've lived in or traveled to (including some fairly underdeveloped places).
