I totally understand no one wants a hole in the ground where Wootton was should the school move. But I also think some of the other schools who like (or at least are neutral) about option H are getting drowned out.

LOL This is Horizon Hill back in the 80s all over again, from the argument around property values to changing from being a walker to a bus rider. And guess what.. it turned out fine.
It’s fine as long as it’s somebody else losing the money. These people swallowed the loss and nobody cared.
But it is fine? That neighborhood is significantly lower priced than the adjacent neighborhoods surrounding it that go to Wootton. And now There is the possibility of Wootton being combined with the lowest performing high school in the entire county. What do you think is going to happen?

I don’t think you went to the meeting at all based on your description. not a single person was for H and every single neighborhood in the cluster was represented. And I didn’t hear a single person mention property values. But it was clear that the majority is against H, including the students.

I think this adding 1000 kids is a rumor/misinterpretation of what was actually said at the meeting. Crown can hold about 2200 kids right now period. There is no funding now to build it out further. If the county decides they need more capacity in ten years maybe they build on the adjacent land and max out the 2700 seats. Good luck with finding the money and kids to fill anytime soon though.
