This school is nearly impossible to get in to.

This is true. A deferral or waitlist is so hard on the applicant who is holding out hope for an unlikely admission. Better to be rejected and get on with life. Love the school that loves you back is excellent advice. You should want the school that wants you rather than one that makes you feel not good enough. That’s nuts. There are equally good (or better) schools that would love to have you!

DCPS accepted. 4.3ish weighted, 1480, 10 APs and a few dual enrollment, very involved in school community and DC community, and multi sport athlete/captain.

That is what our school's Naviance account shows, but to be clear, that is the final grade after their senior year, not the GPA students applied with. I wish they would show that number.

I don’t live in VA and, according to Naviance, 4.4 is our cutoff for UVA as well. No acceptances below.
