ICE needs to be abolished because no immigrant is illegal.

Immigration clearly threw the election to Trump. Highest share of foreign born population since the late 1800’s (14.8%).

Every time that number gets above 10% the pushback begins. The US is a country of immigrants but there is a limit. Keep it under 10% and nobody makes it an issue, especially if it’s mostly legal immigration.

The last time laws were passed restricting immigration it lasted for 50 years and the foreign born percentage declined to 4.7% by 1970. The current situation is just the beginning, don’t expect a change when Trump leaves. The population wants the level to decline and end the chaos that was going on.

Worse. The bill would not have required any changes unless the daily number of illegal aliens exceeded 5000 a day. Less than 5000 a day and nothing changed. It was an awful bill.

And they in fact worked against the majority opinion of Americans that uninvited people should largely not be released into the country, where they, as foreigners, have no right to be.

So I voted for Trump to stop the lies and disrespect for American citizens, and guess what, he showed, despite all his faults, that our government was not powerless, and it could do something about the problem. I'm sorry it came to that, but maybe listen to the American people next time.

He’s saying Joe INTENTIONALLY allowed millions of illegals in. Then in Trump’s second term he PROVED the border could be controlled.

It wasn't important to the democrats though. They explained they would only control the border IF their bill to hire more people etc was passed. I think they genuinely believed voters would accept this as okay.

Dems backed the bipartisan border bill, which would have massively increased border patrol staffing, funds for securing the border, funds to speed up deportations and so on. Trump killed that bill because he wanted the issue rather than wanting to solve it. He cared more about wedges than solutions.
