Bucknell’s campus doesn’t matter because you aren’t there long enough for it to be of consequence.

You move in, take a few classes, & then whoosh, you’re Mickey Rourke in 9 1/2 Weeks & a young Kim Basinger is ripping your shirt off.

Oxford and Cambridge are largely gated (and make you pay for a tour), but they still have great campuses and architecture.

Meh… that’s exactly it - it felt like a resort/golf club. Didn’t feel like a university campus. Went to HYP for undergrad and went to Stanford for grad school - absolutely hated the campus.


That is how I felt about Miami. Pretty but didn’t feel like a college campus.

I hadn't heard about Chico State much before this thread — I think the CSUs get overshadowed by the UCs most of the time — but will be going there in a few weeks. I've seen a number of the campuses mentioned in this thread, though, so I'm eager to see what the Chico campus is like. Sounds like people really love it.

Another check for W&M. The newly built areas are beautiful and keep the campus with a cohesive style. I like campuses that are walkable. Duke was another that I found very nice.
