I think people will appreciate her more once she’s gone.

Me too! Cannot wait.
I don't like Bowser, but the people vying to replace her would be disastrous. Home rule will absolutely end if JLG is elected. She would be a gift to Trump.

Biggest scam on two feet.
You have to pay for people you’d never support.

You pay for it one way or another. Big money donors pay because there's an ROI... which comes at our expense.

I expect Kenyon to run, but he’s not a credible candidate. Not being able to figure out whether you’re eligible to hold the office you’re seeking is the kind of incompetence that DC needs in its mayor.
Unless someone with name recognition steps in soon, JLG is our next mayor.
Kinda hilarious that JLG, who can barely round up 10,000 votes in her own ward with nearly 100,000 people, could be considered the favorite to win anything citywide.
I don't live in her ward and know almost nothing about her, but it is impressive she already qualified for the match of public election funds in the first 4 hours of her campaign, something Murial didn't do for 2 weeks in 2022.

You don't understand the broad appeal of someone who actually cares and isn't corrupt.
Janeese Lewis George actually gives a shit about DC residents. It's been so long since we've had a mayor who did. There is a reason why she's extremely popular in Ward 4 and it's not because she caters to conservatives and right wing freaks.
The suburbanites and the cowards who are too afraid to leave their homes without Dump's secret police force and the Guard standing around at Metro stations won't know what to do with themselves except whine on DCUM and call MPD over someone parking in front of their house.
Ward 4 resident and this is news to me. Most of my neighbors can’t stand her.
Another Ward 4 resident who genuinely detests her, but I do know that there's a certain contingent (white, excitable, moved here in the last 5 years) who are giddy about JLG. These are the people who brought us Nadeau and then moved north to continue a path of nonsense.
The woke squad, as Bowser has dubbed them, has a small but dedicated following.
There are enough of us in DC who understand the meaning and origin of woke and the nature of people who use it glibly as an insult. Thanks for confirming who you really.
Not sure what this word salad is supposed to mean, but you can thank the woke crowd for the election of Donald Trump.
Get woke, become a joke.
The Dems found that out the hard way.
They don't get any softer on crime than JLG. Which led to a spectacular rise in crime in DC. Which led to Trump taking over the city's police force and the occupation that we now all live with for the foreseeable future. Which JLG will surely argue is why she deserves a promotion.
Funny how that works.
