Not the UMass mom, but have a kid at another school in the 5C consortium. It's a great area to go to college. My kid has been to several UMass parties, reports the students are always very friendly.

There is someone in my neighborhood with a son at Harvard and a daughter at Stanford.


I know a family with one at Harvard, one at Stanford and one at Yale. No legacy, no sports. Rich and white.
