BC is ranked top 10 in finance and investment banking majors in the country.
Tulane and Wake alums I know also are all very successful and have connections.

I have no idea about prestige in social circles (who cares), but my Tulane DC got a ton of interviews for summer internships while in school based solely on the name of school and alum connections. It has a really good reputation in NYC finance/marketing/PR. So I think you have no idea what you are talking about. Graduated within the last 2 years and currently working in NYC post-grad with so many other Tulane kids. Employers do like Tulane grads. Generally, they are smart and socially adept.
First I agree that these are all good schools. Second, i think most disagreement comes from the changes with time. 20 years ago, Tulane was among top universities but the ranking declined now. Similarly, WashU and Emory used to be in top 10 in 1990 and now after 20th. The opposite examples are USC and Northeastern. 20-30 years ago, there was no way to put them along with elite schools, but now you see how hard to get in. Things are changing except for HYPM. So for school out of HYPM, it’s more important to see what you want and what it offers instead of comparing prestige.

Games what? Tufts has a 42% ED acceptance rate. That includes both ED1 and 2.

If you have saved and care about student life, access to professors not TA, in person classes vs online, facilities, etc etc basically the entire experience of attending the college, you pay for private. Doesn’t matter what usnews says in terms of rank.

Anonymous wrote:There's a pretty big gap between Tufts and Tulane. Only 13% submitted an SAT to Tulane, or only 230 freshman. Of those, only 57 scored above 1500.
Contrast with Tufts, 38% submitted an SAT score, or 687 freshman. Of these, about 60% scored above 1500, for a total of 900 students.
Student quality is much higher at Tufts.

Their lower endowments make me concerned they'll lose brand power in the Trump era; while costing the same as T20/25 schools. If DC can't get into Georgetown or similar, should they just go to UMD?
