Hands down the most on-target comment I’ve read in ages.
We are living in a timeline that requires our eyes to be wide open and fight for our constitutional rights-democracy. I have cut out MAGA friends and family because they are in a cult. A destructive hate filled cult and no one has time for that in their lives.
+1
People who truly love their families and have had healthy, positive relationships with them do not totally cut off family members over politics. Maybe you grew up in a dysfunctional family but are blaming politicians for your dysfunction. For example, having a yearly visit with grandparents and staying at a motel will not damage children.
Being dysfunctional is a pre-requisite for being MAGA. It’s a cult of personality disordered people.
70 million voters are not personality disordered. Do you always make broad assumptions?

Others it depends. If they want to yak about Trump is I am done, no matter who they are.
Gee..hope you don't work in a school or office.
No one has to be friends with their co-workers. Or even socialize with them outside office functions. Many choose that without regards to politics.
"Cut off" Maga acquaintances? In a school setting, there are all kinds of employees and voters. You have to get along.
No one has to be acquaintances with their coworkers. And they can still get along as coworkers while not being social acquaintances.
I am not sure why you included voters. School workers not elected and don’t take direction from voters.
I'm saying that people working there vote for different political parties and candidates. Everyone has to get along. You are, in fact, an acquaintance of your coworkers if you work in the same school 7 to 8 hrs daily.
Why did you stupidly assume I work in a school?
I don't.
There are Republicans on staff.
But everyone despises Trump. We are an educated group.

As a gay man, fk that. I’m not hiding in the closet so that I fit in with a bunch of MAGA relatives and neighbors. I create my family of choice, and it doesn’t include any MAGA idiots.
Scott Bessnet or Ric Grenell hide in the closet? No need to hide friend it's a big tent and welcoming.
I have a mom, so I'm not sexist.

Yeah great analogy except it does not apply. If MAGA inherently hated gays like many here believe why is one of these guys in one the most powerful positions in the country perhaps the world?
