You are commenting directly even though you don’t have any first hand knowledge.

While I can’t comment directly on either, you’re assuming that one poster (in the case of Maret) or several (NCS) are somehow factually correct and representing the consensus. I know parents at both schools, nearly all of whom are exceptionally happy.

I’m not saying that either of the leaders are universally loved but they are certainly not reviled nor incompetent.

I wonder why expensive and prestigious schools such as maret and ncs have poor leadership.

I second the commentary here about the effect of the HOS, LS head (and would add the athletics director and the former MS head now in admin) not having kids. To be clear, having children should not be a prerequisite for working in education but this cohort does seem to lack some empathy in this area. The US head, in contrast, brings a parent’s perspective to the table and it’s been a noticeable difference for us. I can’t speak to the MS head who rejoined the school after we were out of that division, but I hear good things (she is also a parent). Our experience with teachers has been mostly positive. US teachers in particular have solid experience and knowledge. Again, we have moved on from the other divisions so can’t speak to newer teachers.

At least the hos was not involved in a fraudulent enterprise like another HOS.

She’s loves to talk about herself. Everything relates back to her… and her parenting advice is based on having a parent, not being one.

The "best" I heard from the Lower School Head was that 4th graders don't like playgrounds. Eye roll.

This. It's HARD to be at near the top of the class at NCS or Sidwell and yet you need to be near the top to have strong college outcomes.

maret parents are already paying double what it's worth, the college placements are nowhere close to the same, and to the previous poster - a vape store would be very popular with maret students.
