The problem is they focus on everything but K-12 education.

What about trans-gendered men? Is there any reason to believe they will be less bullied by the same men that bully trans-gendered women? In an environment where bathrooms are segregated by gender identity, will trans-gendered men be forced to use the men's bathroom?

Right now, the federal government is withholding funds for our poor children so that FCPS can "protect" our trans children.
I believe the Supreme Court will support the federal government. So, FCPS is spending lots of $$$ on legal feeds and will likely lose.
No matter what your politics are, it seems to me that this is not due diligence of our funds.
And, I looked up the Fourth Circuit judges that ruled on the Grimm case. It was a 2 to 1 decision. So, this is definitely thin ice for FCPS.
My prediction: Supreme Court 8-1 or 7-2 max.
The supreme court hopefully supports the LAW. And if they do the school districts win.
And, the LAW is Title IX.

If someone doesn’t utilize the police department or fire department, should they get a refund too?
This is apples and oranges and doesn’t even make sense as a response to the PP. Tax dollars being used to fund a losing legal battle, after already funding a security detail for the superintendent, raises for central office, additional staff and office renovations for the school board, etc., is very different than spending those dollars in the classroom. It sounds like the PP would like to see tax dollars used to support classrooms, but instead we destaffed hundreds of teachers at the end of last school year, increased class sizes, and are using more of the FCPS budget for anything but classroom support.
um, no. using vouchers diverts funding from FCPS to private schools.
Um, you missed the point. FCPS is diverting funding out of the classroom at an alarming pace. The priorities that our school board and superintendent have for the FCPS budget are incredibly harmful to the actual education of children. You might not support vouchers, but supporting this board and superintendent is just as bad if you are concerned about the availability of funds for instruction in the classroom.
The non claim payroll is higher than the in classroom payroll.
We could pay our teachers more if we didn't have all this dead weight

It's so cute that they still think laws exist
They have a good legal case based on precedent but the hack Supreme Court will back whatever the dictator says.
This "hack" supreme Court is the only thing providing any limits on this administration. They're unelected, there's a limit to what they should be able to do.
Try winning some elections instead of just shrieking at everyone all the time.
Anyone who voted for Trump is brain dead
And anti American
You knew he was never going to leave office you knew he’d turn out like Putin you knew he’d hand national secrets over and you dam well know he’s in the Epstein files
No6 only are you anti American garbage you are happy to support child abuse
I didn't vote for Trump
We live in a democracy. Try winning an election sometime.
Trump is horrible but he's not Putin.
What national secrets has he's handed over?
I haven't seen the Epstein files but I could believe he is in there. So are a lot of people is my guess. Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, a lot of people. But we don't have proof.
Trump won the popular vote. You are saying that there are more imaginative voters than American voters?
Just sit down and shut up until you can win am election. Let the adults try to fix this mess you have created.

I think the problem is that the policy can be abused by "fakes" meaning men using the "transgender" label to get into women's spaces. We had an example recently here in the area.
And, I still do not know what the rules are in school. Some kids are "gender fluid." What are the policies there?

I don’t think boys should be on girls’ sports teams, but I know that FCPS should adhere to the law and right now they seem to be adhering to that which was determined by the 4th Circuit court.
The Supreme Court really needs to step in and put and end to the judicial activism by the Circuit Courts.
PP here. That’s opinion.
So are you admitting that current FCPS policy meets current law?
Please show me where Title IX addresses "gender identity."
Does the 4th Circuit’s decision currently stand?

The point you’re making is sad. What are they supposed to do? If they bow to current Dept of Education demands they are will be in violation of the last court determination of the law. Law should matter.
I agree it should. But so many unlawful things are happening unchecked right now.
Agree. It’s so sad to see so many Americans welcome dictatorship when we have a system that was formerly the pride of the world. Why do they hate America?
You could try winning an election sometime instead of calling everyone to the right if you a MAGAT until they finally believe you.
I didn’t call anyone a MAGAT. Delusional and defensive.
