If you go to the one in Harrisonburg, plan to visit the Green Valley Book Fair, only 2 miles east of Buc-ees. It must be seen to be appreciated!

Then according to DCUM, you must be a racist, uneducated yokel if you live in the South.

Probably. I am originally from the South, but moved to DC when I was young and grew up in NW DC. I really don't care what a bunch of people who aren't Washingtonians and moved to Alexandria after college think of me.

Just went to the Harrisonburg one the other day. Totally forgot that the art in the bathroom was surprising. The store wasn't super crowded but the lines were long, only one cashier working. Did not get the brisket but the sandwich I got was tasty (club sandwich). The banana pudding was not good but the apple pie was tasty. Loved all the soda options. Will go again when I'm in the area for JMU. Would also like to see another location if I'm ever on a trip.

They also pay their employees really well and are all around a great company to work for.

Before you get too invested in your DC snobbery, think about what your values are beyond looking down on things because you think they are for "flyover country," etc. This is an establishment that is a model of a good employer who makes women feel safe in public in what can be dangerous situations (highway travel--gas stations, esp at night). If you value those things, which I hope you do as a liberal, hopefully you can open your mind.

9 pages and no one has lauded the art in the bathrooms? You are not true fans…

We stopped at the one in Florence on our way to Charleston, SC a while back.

It was big, it was busy. Brisket sandwich was good. Jerky wasn't bad. Restrooms were clean - cleaner than most.

I wouldn't go out of my way to stop, but if it's that or some other random spot, I'll pick the Buc-ee's. One supposed to open in New Kent that I'll be more likely to drive by on our way to VA Beach, Sandbridge, or OBX.
