(Haven’t heard a THING from the union in awhile, so I guess they’re working hard.).

But didn’t you read MU’s email? We’re just going back to how it was pre-Covid!![]()

Like once Atkins arrives, is no one/no group of people going to try to get in front of him to be like let’s just recognize it was NOT like this pre Covid. There was 2 (3?) days wk telework. Certain regions and parts of CF were entirely telework. Not saying you can just put a Teams meeting on Paul’s calendar but the chair does meet w people across the commission on various work issues. Ppl will just go into those work meetings and kiss @$$ and say nothing? So he can be like gee everyone seems fine, morale is great. Maybe it’s just me but I’m not getting why everyone is soooo scared. Not saying one person speaking changes anything - in fact that person gets branded as lazy - but every person in every meeting ever w him, his chief of staff, his counsel - something could click.

Booked Easter week off and desperately trying not to think too hard 🫠
My monitors keep flashing! Does anyone else have this issue?
yeah, i think the "dock" they provided for the post-2020 laptops is underpowered on the USB-C port and just loses its brain. it seems to happen more often on knockoff docks. the whole connection drops, which is annoying if you're running your PIV through the keyboard connected to the dock.

She asked the company to move their headquarters by her old apt. but did not work out.
May shock you but established SEC people aren’t renters of one bedroom apts who can just move next month.
Why not? I got relocated and literally went on line for a search for cheapest studio apartments within walking distance my new location. Found one online put deposit down a week before starting to hold it. Showed up to work stayed in hotel first week, saw unit in person then signed lease. Was not a big deal. I took Amtrak DC then took Metro to Apt late on Sunday Night. Then My boss was nice enough to let me leave 11ish am on Fridays. I work a little late on M-T then show up do some work and leave right before lunch.
Pick up lunch Union Station and take 12 noon train home and eat on train, have a beer and catch up emails.
I did it 18 months. Was not hard to do or that expensive. May be hard to believe but even in 2025 you can get cheap studios for $1,500 a month. My Boss lived in Philly and he was on the five day thing got to come in around lunch on Mondays and leave early enough to catch the 10:28 am Acela. Coming to work he catch 10:00 Acela. His apt so close he could actually see his bed from his desk if he left curtain open. He just go to and from work in Jeans and sweats. Did his laundry during week.
He did it six years. His had a Stay at home wife.
People at higher levels just rent a place near the office.
