I mean, it is lacking depth. The characters are one dimensional caricatures. It’s not a well written show, but it’s about wealthy people so it’s entertaining. A lot of shows that lack substance just use wealth to draw viewers in and it works.

I hate to sound mean, but Jon hamm is also terrible in this role. He was great in mad men, and I liked him in the small role he had in friends with kids, but he’s not really convincing in this role.


I loved him as Don Draper but I think he is good in this role. It seems a lot closer to his actual personality.

Anyone still watching this? Want to discuss the finale? I was really hoping that there'd be a cliffhanger with the police detective matching Coop's fingerprints to the stolen watch somehow. All in all, this was kind of a waste of time but I'm sure i'll end up watching Season 2 b/c I love Amanda Peet.

The montage and music that bugs me the most is from The Morning Show. Just awful.

^ she graduated from Columbia in real life. Dad was a corporate lawyer. Great grandfather public official, lawyer/businessman.

And she’s an Ivy grad herself. Native Manhattan-Nyer. She comes from $. She has the look down. Not a trophy wife. This is how old $ ages, gracefully, naturally- but fit and pulled together, understated.

He could be honest-ish. He went over to his lover's house, not realizing she was away, slipped in Paul's blood then panicked when he realized blood from his head injury was now at the scene. Insist he didn't care about Paul, was happy his wife was now available. Or his hotshot lawyer will get the case dumped on procedural grounds.
