IXL
So there’s no textbooks??
APS likely purchases the Envision textbook but then doesn't use it because it is terrible and doesn't match the VA curriculum, just like for the other math classes.
So how is the class taught? Is there a syllabus and they draw from IXL and Kahn academy or something?
My kid in Intensified Geometry @ DHMS was given a book to take home. I have no idea what it is and I have never seen child use said book. There are no assignments or homework from the book. In fact, the only reason we have a book is because parents demanded it from back to school night. Talk about APS wasting $.
So what do they refer to when doing homework if they have questions?
What homework? Wish there would be some math homework.
My kid’s homework is IXL.

If you include your name and contact info then it’s fair game.

The head of the math dept, like several of her predecessors, was just promoted.
To what?
From math, to an AP job, and now to “Talent Acquisition.”
how's that a promotion?
on those grounds moving from math supervisor to AP would be a demotion not a promotion. who are we talking about anyways?
