I don’t see a reversal at all. Wasn’t he testing the waters in the primaries when he said all these things? Lawyers, like politicians, do this all the time, they sling mud. I see them (her, too!) as very ambitious opportunists. This is quite common, and there are more examples of those changing parties and seemingly their entire personas - they just know which way to turn when, all to climb up.
