Is the point to get into college or are you hoping your kid gets that million dollar contract? Is a no name not accredited? I hear so many kids parents acting like it is D1 or bust but they are not bright enough to look as a fan vs parent and say does my kid really cut it? So many times I we hear them blame coach. Coach not playing my kid I right position or my kid was just getting involved and they pull them out. Especially with such weak conferences.
The argument could me made about you. You're, not bright enough to see Alexandria does not currently deserve GA. You just want it.
Not so nice is it? Stop handing out insults because someone doesn't agree with you. It's low class and petty. The "againsters" are making more persuasive arguments.
What exactly did this person say that is low class? You berate a kid going to a no name college? Going to ANY college in this country is an achievement. This digs deeper into privileged people thinking if you don't go to a Duke you are beneath them. Realistically people like you are the same type that only feel certain classes should be playing soccer. So it's actually you that are low class and petty
This goes well beyond the point and again disperses the attention. The girls' program does not have the pool players/coaching to compete: it's just facts, and there is no berating at all, dear ASA keyboard warrior.
This never makes any sense. 1. Girls' program not in a "top league" so talent leaves to join clubs that are in the leagues. 2. Follow me now... that means that the talent/parents are ultimately attracted to the league status. 3. Insert your complaint of "does not have the pool players/coaching to compete." Ummm, the pool isn't as strong because of point 1 and the majority of parents equate team talent with good coaching when that's not the case. So how about you simply wait and see how things look a few years down the line. Because in your short memories Arlington were world beaters when they joined ECNL less than FOUR years ago. Adjusting for the two teams removed, they have gotten better as a club overall, but nothing drastic that suggests anything more than they were able to retain more of their players and have more continuity in development. Girls soccer has gotten the short end of the stick forever and now everyone's piling on when more options are presented that will eventually push the game further. The previous poster mentioning privilege definitely wasn't too far off. And if you think they are, why so much energy into tearing down a program that you don't think will succeed anyway?

There are so many more colleges that you have never heard of than you know. Nothing wrong with going to a no name school.

Anonymous wrote:People don’t want Alexandria to get GA because it dilutes the talent in this area. We don’t need more VA based GA or ECNL teams. The less the better. Rather have 2-3 proven clubs with top teams that can compete than 5-6 mediocre teams
