This guy was voted in primarily because nobody in power would shut the darn border. I'm sorry to say it, but people were aware of his flaws, and still had no choice. That's the reality.
Listen to the people, prevent tyranny.
The border was a factor but not the primary factor.
When the incumbent sitting POTUS with a 40% job approval rating seeks re-election and then his campaign collapses 3 months prior to the election causing him to back out, the incumbent party has zero chance of winning that election; especially when the last minute replacement candidate is also the VP of that very unpopular sitting president.
Harris had no chance even with her opponent being one of the weakest major party nominees in our history.

It’s a distraction, yes. Is Trump serious? Probably yes too. What should not be happening is the media covering it the way they do. The way they are presenting it now gives it oxygen. It should be presented as crazy person has another crazy idea. End of story.
The problem with this is that it's not just 1-2 crazy people. Maybe that was the case a few months ago, but it isn't now. It's a lot of people engaging with it seriously. It would be worse overall if MSM ignored it, because then those of us who don't follow conservative SM and news sources wouldn't know about it.

There is a constitutional amendment. ANY talk of this is dictatorial.
First paragraph:
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”
And Trump said there are ways.
Sounds like accurate reporting of the news.
The "ways,' are ludicrous. Vance is elected president and Trump is his VP. immediately after being sworn in as president Vance immediately resigns and trump is president. Or, even more ludicrous is trump is elected Speaker of the House and GOP elected president and VP immediately resign and trump is president.

Sounds like a plan, except Vance won’t win.
It’s not a plan because the 12th Amendment does not allow someone to be elected VP who isn’t eligible to be P.

Yes, and he’ll be in full mental decline or dead by then. I agree it’s worrying, but we need to focus on the now.

But as Trump has repeatedly demonstrated, questions of the law and the Constitution ultimately reduce to power struggles. If you hear somebody say Trump is not allowed to do something, the first question to ask is What’s the enforcement mechanism? The courts may be likely to rule against permitting him to run as either president or vice president. But such cases are unlikely to be decided until after the Republican convention has locked in the party’s choice, forcing the courts to choose between effectively canceling the presidential election and enforcing the Twenty-Second Amendment.
Would five justices on the Supreme Court have the guts? Would the states follow such a ruling in a white-hot atmosphere where Republicans would accuse the judicial branch of nullifying democracy? Every apparently solid assumption about the inviolability of the two-term limit gets porous upon close inspection.
