Yeeeaaahhhh, no. Pretty much every single dad I know had an uphill battle with custody. It was just assumed the mom would get them.
I know two single dads with primary custody of the children because they outlearned mom (by a lot) and she was basically bankrupt before she gave up custody of her children. TWO families. Both dads moved in a new mom (I mean girlfriend) for their children who was basically a younger version of OG mom.
This is the story that a mother in my family tells. It is not the truth. The truth is that she was tired of parenting and signed away her rights.
She doesn't have supervised visitation though.
What is the real story? Does this family member visit with/parent children?
