LL Bean scuffs - house is wood floors and rugs. But I do wear them outside to get mail/take out trash/walk the dog so the no shoe house police would not approve.

I have hardwood/rugs downstairs and carpet upstairs. I will wear socks/barefoot upstairs, if I’m cooking or going to be standing for a while I’ll wear moccasins or slippers.

The Birkenstocks are washable either with rubbing alcohol or with hazel or soap and water. They adjust to size and width. You hate them at your ignorant peril.
