I think he’s sick of his own whole shtick and his wife is forcing him to try to stay relevant. The crew must hate him since not only did not one tell him his fly was open, but they then switched cameras to have the perfect angle on exactly how open his fly was. (From the first angle, I actually paused screen to see if his fly was open or if it was a weird drawstring pant, and couldn’t tell—then they switched the angle to a side view and it was super obvious.).
Can we please please put Alec out to pasture? To preserve the memory of the phenomenal Always Be Cobbling skit?
YES
Why this season do they keep bringing in these old irrelevant guys .. let them go! I love Andy but good lord he had his time
I was assuming this was intentional for the 50th anniversary season, bringing back people from the past.

Can you imagine being caught with your pants unzipped on live TV that is recorded and viewed by millions?
That's the stuff of nightmares.
Maybe if the cast and crew didn't hate him someone would have told him or if he didn't position himself right in the front no one would have noticed.

Yes it was awful. Andrew Dice Clay vibes. But the buffalo WW commercial was great.

100%. He is so bad why do they pick him to host. His misogyny is unbearable right now.
I think most people who saw it forgot his Asian zinger.
Racist much??
I thought his monologue was pretty funny (I am a lefty middle aged white woman) except for the random Asian comment. I think he was trying to mock people who blamed Asians for covid but he bungled the delivery and it didn’t land. I think he does a good job ribbing working class white guys generally — he’s not really punching up or down, he’s punching straight across.
I don’t find his jokes misogynistic. It’s like when Che makes the joke “see ladies, you’ll get your little prescient eventually…” — as a feminist, I am laughing at these jokes. Because yes América is really sexist and these comedians are pointing it out. Would Kamala have done better if she tarted it up a little more? Maybe. Kristi Noem certainly seems to think that’s the play. Burr was saying the same thing a lot of feminists have been saying — America is not ready for a strong female president.
