Yes! I saw him over the summer and really enjoyed him as did my 11 year old.

She’s been very clear about Chappelle Roan being an art project for her, one she doesn’t expect or want to do for the rest of her life. I’m not sure she’ll care about losing some fans. This may all even be part of the performance piece.

Certain fan groups are coming for her while she's down.

Kayleigh is has three concerts this week before Austin City Limits: Tennessee (Oct 1), Arkansas (Oct 2), and Iowa (Oct 3).

These shows were only added in the last few months after she blew up and could command top dollar.

If she doesn’t cancel these shows we then have proof that this “mental health” break is total bullsh#t.

She’s strategically canceling shows she booked a long time ago and paying peanuts. And then she turns around and rants online about needing a break and the stress of her fans. Essentially, she’s blaming the fans for her not wanting to perform contractually obligated shows with low pay. It’s all sorts of parasocial mind f#ckery mixed with hard nosed capitalism.

What!? It’s pretty common to have a stage name as a performer. To name a few- Sting, bono, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Prince, Lana Del Rey, lady Gaga, Lorde, and pretty much every rapper out there!

I thought she was trying to make space between her stage persona and her personal life. As in, I know I have issues, but I want performing to be my job, because I like it, but I still want a personal, private life. I think she thought people would respect that. Sadly, she is clearly wrong.

I guess I am skewed but I consider Britney and Taylor at the same naming level as Kayleigh. They all remind me of my working class upbringing where many girls were pregnant at 16.

It’s pretty common.. Elton John, Lady Gaga, Lana del Rey, Lorde, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars, Nikki Minaj etc. there are a significant percentage of musicians who choose a stage name.
