According to my son, the Indy player was trash talking and skirmishing after game ended but before the handshake line, which resulted in the ref announcing that he is ejected from the NEXT game. This happened at the scorers table which is why parents are not aware of it. But from the parent sideline I could hear this player running his mouth the whole game. For Yorktown's sake, I hope that VEL upholds the ref's decision, so they can have reasonably clean game without one kid trash talking and taking cheap shots all over the field.

This is an honest question as an outside observer, not a troll... I have been reading all of the posts, and watching this Independence team play and behave for a couple of years now...

Indy parents, do you think that your coaching staff is actually doing a good job for your sons and players? Since you all drank the cool aid and listened to the current coach run out the former staff.

If you don't agree with what is being done, why haven't you brought concerns about the unsafe and unprofessional program being taught and run?

In my personal opinion (which is allowed btw), it is not only endangering your sons development as lacrosse players, but also as young men, learning that there is no consequences for your actions. Not only that, but if you care about kids as a whole, it is also endangering the safety of other boys in the Northern Virginia area.

+1, another bystander who has wondered the same thing. I can't imagine that the Indy parents are happy, especially since their own sons are tarred with the reputation that one player and one coach have cultivated for the program.
I doubt Indy parents will respond, though, because even on anonymous board, they would fear retribution to their son.

That too bad if that turns out to be the case this spring. I understand that the districts are geographically based and that school is for education but the Concorde District makes a mockery out of the idea of athletic competition. In terms of sports there’s really just Madison in that district. It’s sort of like how Clemson used to be in ACC. Why does one school hold the cards year after year?

A bad loss to a class 6 school (Freedom 9-2) and a one goal win over a mid tier class 4 (Loudoun County HS) would tell me they are not going to be that much this year. Right now maybe a top 20 Class 6 but not top 10.

PVI v. Langley

Ireton crushed Battlefield and Battefield beat Robinson, so Ireton should win that one.
PVI will kill Langley
Yorktown v. Indy and Battlefield v. Madison should be good games.
