+1 . Seriously. Get a grip, be an adult, and avoid making this a big deal, especially for your DD. I can think of so many other ways to celebrate a bday outside a 4-6pm Saturday timeframe. If you have a tendency towards drama and making a big fuss over scheduling conflicts, this Nutcracker production is definitely not for your family. It's a well-run show with Donna at the helm, but things happen.
I hope you realize NOW that every kid, including yours, needs to be available for *every* performance, whether scheduled or not, because of the chance that your child will be called to sub-in for a kid who is sick. DD has had to sub at least once for the last couple of years bc dancers had the flu or COVID.
