Same poster as above. Re: the case I mentioned : I live in Fairfax county. I actually think the school should have protected that kid more. While I do not agree with her opinions (re: global politics, war etc.), she probably suffered a lot when she was bashed NATIONALLY online.

I know another kid who gave money to an extortionist. Um, all of us parents know someone who was hurt online.

If this pagent person was 18 when she was filmed, it’s another story. I have seen too many stories of teens lives being destroyed online.

I defended Vance on the post. I thought it was light and funny. But now I feel differently- making fun of an amateur-model kid does not feel right. Maybe we should stop circulating that. Is she 18.

My kids HS has an activist teen. She said some unpopular things in our town yearbook. Her image was posted by an organization who went after her. The kids might not protect their privacy themselves, but I think we need to act under higher standards.

Vance, for some reason, thinks that Harris should have done “an investigation “. He’s a United States Senator. If he genuinely felt that some sort of “investigation “ needed to be done, why didn’t he arrange to do one? His rant was not about accomplishing anything useful, or even about providing useful criticism. It was about advertising his racism and his misogyny for people that he hopes will be his base.
He has minimal political experience. Is he actually doing anything for the voters who elected him?

But people hate contempt. That's why contempt is the single-greatest predictor of divorce -- a more accurate predictor than anger or even infidelity. No one wants to be around it. I truly can't think of a worse trait for a politician to have.
