My eating habits have changed for the better; dinner portions aren’t tiny, but I generally have no interest in and skip the carbs like bread, potatoes, or rice. No dessert afterwards, no snacking. I’m setting a better example now than pre medication.

Why can’t you do this without medication?

Lack of discipline depressed and sad

These drugs are not popular anywhere else besides America so what gives

how many of the posters calling this "gross" inject themselves with botulinum toxin?

anyway, I'm not on these drugs, but I think its amazing they exist. Lots of evidence to show that improved glucose levels and insulin sensitivity produced by them are amazing for health and longevity. And those of you who think it should be all "willpower," why do you care? furthermore, its much better for public health in general that we have healthier people without the chronic conditions that are often comorbid with obesity? Finally, I think it would be great if a medication also helped people change their eating habits with the result that big food suffers. The food industry just undermines health in so many way.

Yes. I went from a 38 DD to a 34C. They're kinda deflated, but I don't really care. I have a waist again and I feel better.

Yep! 42E to a 38 C currently, with more to lose.

I’ve lost 35 pounds and my size has gone from a 38D to a 36C. My boob to waist ratio has improved so the net look is much better. My body will never have the firmness it had 25 years ago, as I’m not a gym rat, but my husband is now far more attentive. I also went with a new hairstyle and I’m very happy with my new look.

🤮

Can you elaborate? You swing through here once a day, post this emoji or “gross” and add no contribution to the discourse. You think people taking control of their health and weight is gross? Do you have a BBW fetish?

Same A-hole again, or a new a-hole? You are the one who is sad, and pathetic.

If you aren’t afflicted with constant food noise then count yourself lucky.

Does it work better for people who just gained a lot of weight over years and not so well on life long fat persons?

If that were true she’d lose weight, especially if she is obese. It’s not a magic drug - you still need to be in a calorie deficit. It’s possible she is eating less than she was, but still more than she needs. I’m started working with a dietician and was amazed at how small healthy portion sizes really are.

Starting on Wegovy (.25) tomorrow. Any tips? I’m hoping I can tolerate possible side effects.

Anonymous wrote:How is everyone doing?

Had my third 0.5 shot last night and it's a damn good thing I don't have to work because the fatigue is awful and my stomach feels like there is a brick sitting in it.

Did manage to eat lunch today even though it wasn't much (a slice of watermelon, some bean salad (bottled from Costco, highly recommend) and a piece of homemade bread). Going to force myself to have a bit of greek yogurt for a snack in a bit.

I have been on compounded Wegovy for 3 months. Just took my fourth dose of 1.0. The side effects were hard on me when I hit 1.0 initially but seem to have settled down. I am drinking protein shakes for breakfast (was buying Premier Protein but I just ordered some Fairlife to try because AFAIK they don't have biotin, which screws up my thyroid labs). I also ordered some peppermint tea to help with nausea if it comes back.

I am down 15 pounds and I am so happy. I seem to lose slower than most people, but I don't mind. I need to lose another 20 and if things keep going like they are, I might be able to get there by the end of the year!
