Though she does desperately want to be on Dancing With the Stars so she could meet a man there. Though she's so high maintenance I don't know who'd have the patience for her. She also seems to think she's MUCH cuter than she actually is.
She needs to move out from living with her mother.
To hear her father and brothers never once went to one of her dance shows or competitions for 15+ years to date was really sad.

The scene where the girl wins an award at a banquet dinner and gets up and uses her walker. What they do to their bodies and how little they are compensated. How DCC is a multimillion dollar brand and the women get so little. How oblivious and high on it all that they are.
It’s extortion. And it’s heartbreaking.
It's a part time job and I read they earn $75k. Um, that's REALLY great for a part time job, especially in Texas. And all of them are pretty so they're all probably also doing influencer stuff on social media for extra money. Plus being on the shows pays money. PLUS some of them (Kelsey (sp?)) have full time jobs that probably provide health insurance too.
It’s a highly visible, extremely demanding sport. It brings in an insane amount of money. How much are the women paid? It’s peanuts. Your justifications are sickening. In no world would a male athlete that makes this much bank for his employer be willing to accept $15/hour. Even worse, in no world would society (or idiots like you) argue that it is ok “because they can be influencers”
1) Women are ALWAYS encouraged to work for free or nearly free (e.g. pressure to volunteer at school)
2) No one is forcing any of them to sign on for this and no one is hiding the pay rate
3) The cheerleaders are a “nice to have” for the organization. If all cheerleading disappeared tomorrow it would not affect the bottom line of a single NFL team.
That’s true, but these women are 18-24. They’re just SO young & naive.
Then they finish DCC & need 2-12(!) ortho surgeries, or they get stalked, or death threats. But they do it for the prestige & “sisterhood” without any decent compensation. It’s criminal.
Either you think an 18 year old woman is a grown adult capable of making her own choices or you don’t.

Marrying him is great for her! He will cherish her and she has nothing by which to compare. He meets *her* standards and is a man of strong and steady faith—and that’s what is most important to her.
Maybe we're jaded because all the uber religious people we hear from in this town are so hypocritical and are really just interested in policital power and controling others.
The mega church was SO WEIRD. What kind of god give a foo about football and the Cowboys and specifically a city in TX?
Not sure why they edited that intro in. Dont care
We’re military and Catholic and had to live in the south, Niceville area. Kids went to a very nice religious school and all of the area joined a fun, active community via a “mega church” down the road.
Fun childcare during mass talks or events, lots of social groups (moms, dads, teens, sports teams, volunteer), a band performs, etc.
Did I feel holy and refilled during and after mass? Not like a traditional Catholic mass but Yes.
The talks were topical and people were there for the community, talk and hear about life and doing better, and socialize. Similar to other religion- social communities.
My spouse even drummed in the bad, he loved to drum and find a band.
But that was our options big Baptist, episcopal or Presbyterian churches or mega churches. They were relateable and focused on the human needs level and being a better person to herself and to others. In Catholicism it’s similar and to overcome basic human natures of power & greed.

But the craziest part might be the mega church the girls are filmed at. God Loves Dallas! God Loves the Dallas Cowboys! Must be preaching from the King Jerry Jones Version.
I bet they don’t get health insurance to cover these expenses!
Don't most of them have other full time jobs? It seems fun, if you love football even better. And better exposure to meet a rich spouse or player whcih is also probably a big motivator for some of these women
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Allegedly $12 / hr and $400 per appearance. I enjoyed thr show but was really turned off by Charlotte. It’s just greed - why else wouldn’t you pay them a salary especially when they ruin their bodies over the quintessential cheerleader jump split!
Well for starters, the cheerleaders of nfl teams are a drain in the budget.
Kelli Finglass made DCC profitable for the first time like 24 years ago.
Doing the DCC calendar was her brainbaby!…followed by the “making the team” series.
So yes they make some money NOW (that locker room upgrade alone!!!) but they were not always a profit center at all.
And if they paid actual wages, they would definitely be in the red.
Plus there are tons of young women who are willing to do the job for the exposure and the opportunities it opens for them.
They literally turn hundreds of hopefuls away every season. No one is being forced to stay.
So, before any of the current cheerleaders were even born. And they said in the documentary that they make a million dollars a year in profit from the DCC, which means that they could absolutely pay actual wages without going into the red. There are only 35 cheerleaders.
