You need to understand the Phillips curve. If unemployment is low there is a direct correlation with higher inflation. So is it better to be unemployed or pay more for groceries? Or you could let in more immigrants but that would raise unemployment and depress salaries.

Governing requires choice. None of them perfect. So you can vote for Trump but your pocketbook will be in worse shape. When he passes more tax cuts and slaps tariffs on everything imported from China, inflation will soar.

Yep . People remember no new wars, great economy, affordable groceries and gas, peace and prosperity (minus Democrat run cities who terrorist the people with looting and riots), and energy independence.
