Why would I call her or why would she ask me to call her?
I called her because we needed to meet for work but I just thought she was childish. She actually got fired after a year of this (for other reasons)

We also have younger coworkers who are in full power play mode and I cannot handle it. I am vvvv senior and I am personally never in power play mode. It’s never necessary. I remember once having a coworker at my same level who always asked me to call her at our appointed meeting times as a kind of power play. It’s so offputting. And a work and speed killer. Assuming you are white and she is not, I would personally involve hr and say that due to her background and area of focus you don’t feel comfortable giving her the type of feedback you need to give her and ask she be transferred. If you actually try to properly manage her you’ll end up being told you are not somehow in compliance or facing an hr issue so you have to ladder her under someone who is ‘permitted’ to have the hard convos. If you are not white then I would still loop hr but have some come to Jesus feedback moments starting immediately

Review her job description with her. In the future, look at a future hire’s social media. We have dodged multiple bullets this way.
