Jamie Spears had stepped down from being her personal conservator in September 2019 (2 years before the conservatorship ended). Her conservator the last two years was Jodi Montgomery.

Bessemer Trust had been appointed co-conservators of her finances by the court in Nov 2020.

There are trusts in place for her children.

The #FreeBritney crowd really didn't understand conservatorships or what was happening. There is so much misinformation out there.

Why would it matter what her fans think? It was the courts that removed the conservatorship. The courts decided that she was well enough to look after herself and make her own decisions, not her fans.

It never made sense that someone who could headline a multimillion tour or residency needed a conservatorship. Jamie’s greed destroyed her.

I do, PP is correct. The information the court received was based on reports from individuals hired by Mr. Spears.

Britney probably needs a conservator that will act in her best interests. Why didn’t her family advocate for a replacement conservator that would act as a neutral third party?

I think that was on the table at some point but I don't remember how it was scuttled.

I just hope when Jaimie was her conservator, he set up trust funds for the boys. I hope they are able to get some of her money.

Because, like was said above, it is her right to continue spiraling downward. No once can force her into treatment. We all saw what happened to the conservatorship. This is the result - she is unwell but no one can do anything.

You can’t force an adult to comply with mental health treatment or take their meds. Seen it time and again with relatives and it has never ended up well and leaves a lot of destruction in its wake. She may have addiction issues and a mental illness but so do millions of Americans...they don't get put under conservatorships. She is lucky to have full-time security guards and a ton of money that will take her another decade to spend down even if she spends like a maniac.

She needs a conservatorship or longterm hospitalization.
