Small schools are better. They give more personal attention . Since there are few if any grad students, they provide great opportunities to undergrads instead. The professors know you well enough to write really strong letters of recommendation.

Princeton Review has William and Mary's library ranked as #5 nationally. Definitely 60s architecture, but it has an impressive collection and is very nice inside.

I believe 7, but the PP was likely talking about the main library, Swem. They seemed to be focused on the building exterior, not the collection, interior, or services.
