So Tuckahoe **did** get three home meets, while Overlee and OKM got two but Overlee got the relay carnival and divisionals (4 home meets total)?
No. Tuckahoe has two home meets. As does OKM. Overlee will make a lot of money but I don’t envy them trying to get volunteers for that many events.

Really? If there is a pool with 8 lanes, I would want them hosting divisional meets.
Do tell.
????
8 lane pools are faster than 6 lane pools.
The nicest pool is Virginia Run. I wish they would host. TEN lanes and the clubhouse is like an air conditioned hotel.

Because it’s run by a group of volunteers, most of whom probably have full time jobs and other family commitments. As a rep, I can only imagine the level of work that goes into being a board member pulling off an entire season. Teams have their schedules and can post on their websites. I’m sure they’re prioritizing time sensitive activities to prep for the season while also managing the rest of their lives. I think we all forget that outside of coaches, the NVSL is entirely volunteer-run. There is no entity like many other youth sports teams that have paid staff to manage the admin. Soapbox over![]()

Anonymous wrote:Explain how Overlee (or any of those pools) remain on top when they have 10 year waitlists.
They should have no kids under the age of 12 to seed a meet - yet, somehow by magic they do.
Even accounting for large families with kids of all ages, it does not add up. Those teams should die because of their membership situation. It does with other pools, but not them.

They are a miserable drive away, have a terrible seating set up and the club house is closed unless you work table

Okay that is amazing!!! So Overlee not only gets three home meets but both divisional meets. All the $$$$$$ to them.
Yup, and Tuckahoe still only gets two home meets and has to swim away at OKM. It’s the little things.
The rich get richer. Sigh.
Not at all. Tuckahoe tried to pull rank and got nothing. They wanter 3 home meets + Divisionals and got none of it.
