Ah yes. 3rd graders- seniors are still so traumatized four years later that they absolutely do not want a snow day/delay. They also hate those planned breaks because of learning loss from 2020.

LOL. Sure. It's been 4 years. If you're kids are still "traumatized" then the issue is you have not helped them get over it. Sounds like you both could use some therapy. And I do mean that seriously.


Yes if the parents are constantly crying about the Covid years and not teaching resilience... their kids will be traumatized.

I just drove in the Herndon/Reston area, the roads are not icy. There is some slush in places but the roads are fine.


If only people could realize that what you are seeing (sample size 1) is not what other people are seeing, even in the same towns.

It's so funny I saw the "snow" coming down this morning and KNEW people would be freaking out. DCUM does not disappoint.

If these kids are still suffering, four years later from PTSD, then I suggest their parents seek therapy for them.


DP. Not sure if PTSD is the right word for it, but affected? Yes.

Some/many people were affected for the rest of their lives from the Great Depression. Will kids be affected for the rest of their lives from the pandemic? Possibly - if they are, I won't blame them or their parents.


There really isn’t anyone to “blame” for a global pandemic. You can’t blame the virus.
