For those who have been through the Spanish immersion program in the last year or two years, so your kid is in 1st grade through 3rd. Others can chime in if they have anything to add.
How do you like the immersion program?
How is your kid doing?
Do you as a parent like the school environment? How do students who aren't in immersion and immersion students interact?
There is another link regarding the school's principal don't know if a new one was hired last year.

I’ve got a kiddo in 3rd. We’re very happy with his experience. His teachers have been amazing; he has ADHD, and his 2nd grade teacher had already started giving him accommodations before he officially got an IEP because she recognized it would help him. He’s doing very well academically and speaking Spanish pretty confidently now, with very little exposure to Spanish prior to K. I would highly recommend the school and SI in particular. I can’t say much about interactions between immersion and non-immersion because his friends are his classmates, and I don’t know the other families.

Why is Chinese immersion at Potomac ES? Why not at another ES? I don’t know. Ask MCPS.
