Yes, they English and Spanish classes are at lunch and recess together. Lunch is each class at their own table so no interaction then but they definitely play together at recess. As they get older, they have closer friendships with their SI peers so they seek each other out more.

The Immersion program is great. Highly recommend. The teachers are fabulous. In our experience, the parents feel lucky to be there so it tends to be a happy group. We have really good friends in our kids’ classes. It’s a small, tight knit community.

I’ve got a kiddo in 3rd. We’re very happy with his experience. His teachers have been amazing; he has ADHD, and his 2nd grade teacher had already started giving him accommodations before he officially got an IEP because she recognized it would help him. He’s doing very well academically and speaking Spanish pretty confidently now, with very little exposure to Spanish prior to K. I would highly recommend the school and SI in particular. I can’t say much about interactions between immersion and non-immersion because his friends are his classmates, and I don’t know the other families.


Sounds like the two sides don't interact. Do they have same lunch time for all grades?
