Historically, Georgetown was in the range of Maryland Smith and Virginia Darden. MBA ratings are a notorious mess, with fluctuating methodology currently emphasizing diversity. Previous rankings have emphasized job placement, alumni reputation, student perception, and faculty quality. FYI, Georgetown's average undergrad SAT is 1450, 96th percentile. Their law school median LSAT is 167, 95th percentile. The median GMAT is 697, 88th percentile.
Georgetown has successfully marketed their brand based on the halo effect of undergrad, law school, and coach John Thompson basketball. In addition to Full-time MBA, they have Flex-MBA (available online), Executive MBA, and 10-month Masters in Management Studies. The university also offers many short-term travel programs and certificates. It also has Ph.D. programs.
By comparison, Armani clothing brands include Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, and Armani Exchange. The latter offers t-shirts like The Gap. If you have Georgetown tuition money, you could buy a few pieces of Armani Couture, or even clothes that have been worn on the runway. There are also tiny Armani boutiques.
