I think this is likely, because the timing of the storm mean they may need to make a call before much snow falls. So even if we just get a dusting (which would stick to untreated roads, given the temps)— or only flurries— we likely won’t know that until it’s too late.
Unless the forecast seriously shifts this evening.

They aren't laws, even in Fairfax. They are guidelines only, with no teeth. And they are written for idiot parents who are incapable of judging their own child's abilities.


Not really. It's a fraemwork established so noncompliant parents (ie bad ones) can be punished for not following them. Think custody disputes, security clearances, etc.


I don't think a judge or employer is going to ding a parent for leaving a responsible 11 year old home alone for 4 hours.
