I love the breadth of schools, interests, time spent looking for a good fit, challenges overcome by many students, etc. I hope that should any trolls posts we can all just ignore them and focus on the positive!!

Wowza! Was your kid in the top 25% per last year’s numbers?

As a parent of a student who is looking like a solid B+ kid (and will be applying next year), can I ask which schools these are?
DP and same here. I would love to hear the schools that the solid B+ kid got in. When reading these threads, I feel like one has to be like an Einstein to even attend a university these days.
The Washington College, Wash and Jeff, Allegheny, Sweet Briar admits were all in this territory, and those were my kids's stats. Didn't go TO. I did a lot of research, my copy of ctcl is very dogearred. I tried to ignore prestige and just look at SLAC with rigor and dedication within driving distance of the DMV, more or less.
Last year my B+ ADHD girl had a similar list, + Juniata and SMCM (wanted small school with good environmental science program). Got into all schools with merit and is doing well now at Juniata.

Wow. Pitt CA with merit is very rare! Kudos!!!!
Is your kid female?
Yes - 4.0, 1520 SAT, but I haven’t counted AP’s
Well done! Good luck to her! We loved our visit there and think it’s a great school. 😄🤩🥳
(They don’t tend to give merit to male CS students.)

Stats, major and gender for UVA admits?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Fordham and Arizona. Not a high flyer like most on these boards but happy to have solid choices so far!
I know several people who graduated from Fordham majoring in business. They all are extremely successful. Congratulations!

My DD same list. Considering Juniata (got merit) would love to hear more about how she likes it
