"It's inside the Beltway but with a small-town feel" / "It's like a small town in PG County" / etc. In fact I Googled it to check my spelling (for some reason I thought it was Cheverley) and the first result says "Cheverly, a Prince George’s County suburb of Washington, D.C., delivers a small-town lifestyle right on the edge of the nation’s capital."
Either their marketing team is batting 1000 or people genuinely love that place; good for them.
Residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood love to think of it as a small town and so many folks there have pool memberships in...Cheverly!
That's what is strange to me - it's a small town but the main social activity in the town seems to be dominated by residents of Capitol Hill.
That is a super touchy observation. There are plenty of people in town who lobby to kick all the DC people out of the Cheverly pool. I guess they don't understand how a private swim club works
I wouldn't say that 1) the main social activity in town is the pool....there are lots of other things going on in town or 2) the pool is dominated by DC folks. Most of the Board of the pool are Cheverly residents and slightly more than half of the members are.
