DCU, played mostly with the 2011's. Pipeline tied with ASA on Sunday.
I know U15 did not play. Pipeline 09s are the #1 boys team in the US, and deservedly so. Go see them play if you haven't.
Where's the small print disclaimer to cover the legal angle behind that statement?
If Pipeline 09's is #1 over Philly Union, Real Salt Lake, LAFC, FC Delco, LA Galaxy, Atlanta United, Solar and several more, then they are the most impressive team in the country for any age group.
It's based on the old YSR. They just slipped to #2. They've been in the top 5 for the past two years. The core of the team has been there for a long time and three of the players occasionally played for DCU last year. We'll see what they do this year. They have not played much this season. I saw them play last year and thought they could have handled any U14 MLS Next team I saw; I saw them when they were a lot younger and they were dominant then as well.

Anonymous wrote:How much of a chance do kids from smaller clubs have at these ID sessions? The form asks for club and coach info so I assume there is already a bias towards kids already being coached by known coaches, or from clubs that already regularly send kids to DCU.

Saturday Pipeline won 2-1 against DCU and then tied ASA (which hasn’t had the best season, ASA looked better than they have in a while) 2-2. Looked like same Pipeline kids to me. Sunday’s ref was over the top, gave out 2 red cards (1 for each team) for barely anything but kept giving warnings to same kids for other things. Made zero sense.
It went from shoving to swinging arms (not barely anything), so the red cards were warranted.
Another PL kid after getting a yellow went in with both feet and studs up. He too should have been shown the exit
Alexandria obviously was working on playing out the back and stuck to it the whole game. Even after they made a mistake and Pipeline scored.
But that's what these events are for. Kudos to their discipline.
We were on the sidelines and heard a lot of trash talking between PL and ASA players.

Curious to know if DCU recruits any players from these open try out? Is this all for show?
Should we tell our club that our kid signing up for the event?
How many kids are there? I’m assuming they cap the numbers?
