Same. One kid brought it home, we live in an apt, and miraculously nobody else got it, despite 36 hours of likely exposure (and high viral loads--their test lite up positive in 30 seconds). I attribute that to the HEPA filters we run continuously in the apt. And that we moved the infected kid to a hotel ASAP after they tested positive. And then we masked when had to be around them (and moved a HEPA filter to their hotel room as well)

you sent your sick kid to a hotel? alone? wtf.

And you’re still ok. Imagine that.

And you're still (stupid) on this thread.

Despite your hysteria you're still with us. Maybe this deadly awful virus isn't so bad. How many times have you had it?

None, and yes, I test and I mask. Covid complications could kill me; I take it seriously, as do the people who care about me.

But some other person at the concert might not "be ok". We get it---you only care about yourself and "living life". If you had any concern for others you could still live your life fully and just mask when inside and coughing away

School is the most efficient place to get sick, more so than grandma's Christmas dinner. Kids get sick every September when school restarts and then they take those germs home to their parents who take the germs to work.

How would you know if someone’s medically vulnerable?

If you’re socializing or in close contact with someone, you would generally know.

And if a person is medically vulnerable, it’s their decision as to whether or not they want to risk exposure in group settings.

So many people on here seem to think they know better about what health decisions others should make.

Except your ignorant thinking has left out a certain situation. A group of people UNMASKED and SICK in the waiting rooms at doctors offices are the medically vulnerable just SOL there too? So they can't get medical care safely either? And you not only don't realize this with your good health privilege but also give zero f's?

Some folx won't understand medical/health privileges until they lose theirs.

Some what?

We tested despite no symptoms before visiting in person with my 95 year old parent. Because we don't want to inadvertently kill her, but ymmv.

Yeah, I get that. I don't want to kill my older relatives, either. That isn't the scenario I was referring to. I mean the people who used to test as a matter of routine, once a week, whatever. Not just before special visits.

Free, no shipping costs, and if you didn't get the last round, you can double order (just keep placing orders until it tells you you've hit your limit; it knows).

Libraries used to give out tests/masks free, too.

This isn't a hard problem to solve. Demand that it be solved, and it will be. Shrug it off and go without and you take your chances and get what you get, but you put others at risk. That shouldn't be okay with anyone decent.

What precisely is going to be solved? COVID? Eradication of all contagious illnesses? Some of you people live in la la land which is why the rest of us are just done trying to appease you.

You living longer does nothing to appease me, PP. If I had my way, you and your ilk would've been out of the game in the first round.

But you're still here, and we still have to share the space, so maybe you could be taught how to be slightly less inconsiderate. Doubtful, but you can't say we didn't try.

A lot of us are still here, living life to the fullest. And you just can't stand it. Four years later and you're still spinning your wheels waiting for the other shoe to drop. Why?

Living life to the fullest, acting a whole clownshow on this forum? #blessed, I guess

Yet 4 years later, you're still out fighting a losing battle. Oblivious that you've been left behind. Eat my dust.

There's your sample 1 of masks working, pp.
