Yes, it's weird, especially if you're not Dutch.

People get nicknames like Dutch, Swede, and Frenchie in lumber camps. Or on the cattle trail.

Love Zinnia. Almost named our DD but it’s just the name of some scientist. (Which is totally fine, but I don’t know much about him.) If it had some other origin, I would have used it.

Yes, I know. But named after a person. I didn’t want to name my kid indirectly after someone I know little about.
