About once a week I take her car keys and hide them. When she asks if I've seen them I tell her she can have them back when she collects all the glasses and puts them in the dishwasher, after she pours all the water into the dog bowl. I don't want it going to waste.

Maybe YOU celebrated. Your DW, however, may be contemplating why she's wasted most of her adult life being controlled and treated like an errant child by her supposed equal partner in life.
Oooh this one’s easy! It’s because she’s acting like one!
You are so bothered by glasses being out that you would disrespect and denigrate your life partner? Okay. Have fun with that.
I’m guessing PP is more bothered by his wife acting like a child. But that’s just a guess.
How is forgetting to put a glass in the dishwasher "acting like a child"? You sound like a fun and loving human.
You might be right. Expecting someone else to constantly clean up after you is more like entitlement, with a little bit of childlike mentality thrown in.
This is you assuming worst intentions. Nowhere did PP say that his wife says "why didn't you put the glasses away so we could have clean ones?" My guess is PP's DW has a weakness, like all humans. PP could sit his wife down and explain how much it bothers him, instead of hiding her keys and treating her like garbage.

Did you "celebrate" tho? Those of you who assume the worst intentions are exhausting. I have ADHD and I can't imagine being married to somebody who expected perfection all the time. I don't expect it of my non-ADHD DH and he doesn't expect it from me. OP could have used this as an opportunity to tease her DH, or bribe him for something fun if she brings the paper. Her DH isn't doing it because he is a jerk, he legitimately forgets and I'm sure feels bad about himself every time he does because she nags him. Relax, people. Go with grace and love.
OP here. Like 20 times? He doesn’t do this at work. He does it at home because he knows I’ll bail him out. That’s what makes it jerk behavior. Sorry. But if you don’t learn your lesson the first few times I’m not helping anymore. It’s frigging tp. Walk to the basement and get some every week. It’s not hard.
What's it like to be perfect?

Picking up after yourself is 'expecting perfection'?
Huh, TIL. I thought it was just being a decent person 101.
