Biberaj is going down and she will get absolutely nuked in the part of Loudoun in SD-31. If enough people split their tickets between Anderson and Perry, Perry will win.

You have to hope Biberaj isn’t getting landslided in the district if you want Perry to pull it out

Then how nice of him to give his wife permission to have the appropriate, doctor-recommended procedure after a miscarriage. What a great guy.

What does this have to do with abortion, I wonder?

DP. When I had a D&C after a miscarriage, it was on the chart as "missed abortion" - the clinical term. Maybe the terminology confused this guy? All the more reason he doesn't belong in office passing laws that regulate people's choices in reproductive health care.

Here’s the thing: he actually invented a tech company intended to help expectant mothers. So prenatal care is in his wheelhouse.

He’s also VERY Catholic. Went to Notre Dame and the whole lot. So of course he is strongly anti abortion. The amount of political donations he has accepted from hard-right groups that want a total ban on abortion is eye-popping — well over $100,000.

But mainly he’s a carpetbagger and GOP plant who is there to try and win and further Youngkin’s political ambitions.

Hard pass.

Just say no...to rich MAGAs trying to oppress women.

Look at all the states where abortion has restrictions beyond what RvW had. All those state have see a loss in doctors doing residencies. not just OBGYN doctors but new doctors to treat your hemorrhoids, viagra refills, and prostate cancer.

In states with restrictions we see skyrocketing maternal health issues and increased infant mortality. We see MORE VIOLENCE.

For over a year now we have heard horrific stories of women forced to carry babies with no brains, women sent home until they were septic, women losing their fertility. AND, pharmacies refusing to fill birth control cause despite what GOP says, birth control is next.

I can’t believe there are still folks out there that don’t see what the GOP has become. Look at the US House. MAGA has taken over the party. Even if they want, the “moderates” have no power/are too cowardly to stop MAGA.

I know my post won’t persuade 99% of folks here but I implore you to think about the implications of voting Republican AT THIS TIME. Once the MAGA faction is squashed we can all go back arguing about marginal tax rates. For now, MAGA needs to go (even the red vested ones).

No, people aren’t persuaded because you don’t back up your claims with facts. It’s all emotions, no reason.
Planned Parenthood, as wonderful as it is, is not publicizing all that it offers to women in challenging, potentially dangerous situations because they know the Dems always need abortion as a wedge issue. PP needs to expand its sm presence but it won’t! I’m frustrated as hell.

My relative is at WashU (Missouri) for a residency and what you claim simply isn’t true. Med school grads are clamoring to apply there and he is beyond thrilled to be in STL and so is his OB-GYN girlfriend.

That’s nice for your relative but this is a real, documented thing that is happening.
“New doctors applying to medical residency programs were likelier to avoid practicing in states with the most stringent abortion restrictions, an analysis from the Association of American Medical Colleges found.

Why it matters: The drop in applications, particularly for OB-GYN residencies, could exacerbate the lack of maternal health care in those states, which already have the highest maternal mortality rates in the U.S.

AAMC found that states with near-total abortion bans saw a 10.5% decrease in OB-GYN applicants who were M.D. seniors this year.

“Reasonable medical judgment” is the key phrase of the statute. If necessary, there is a clinic in Granite City, IL, very close to STL, that patients can inform themselves about.

STL and its suburbs aren’t that “LCOL.” My relative and his gf don’t have any money concerns. They are there for the outstanding opportunities to serve others while learning under some of the finest medical professionals in the country.

From your own link:
“Of the 412 available fellowships in obstetrics and gynecology in the country, just seven positions went unfilled in 2023, per data from the National Resident Matching Program.”

I'm familiar with Wash U. Your relative might be there for the education, but why would an ob/gyn stay to practice in a state where they might be put in prison for following the standard of care?

Not withstanding the personal experience of your relative and his OB/GYN girlfriend, it actually is facts.

The abortion bans are already terrible for the health of babies and pregnant women, and it will only get worse.

Honestly this was a terrible terrible choice for Dem candidate.

WTF? She served our country.

Army, navy, marines, Air Force, coast guard etc. - those are ways people serve our country.

The CIA overthrows foreign governments, tortures people, and spies on everyone - even US citizens. If you are too naive to believe they spy on you, then you’re falling for the CIA’s “least untruthful answer.”

Take your meds. There should be a sanity test for voters.

Now the Republicans are against the CIA, as well as against the FBI and the military and for Russia? What an odd world we now live in.

They want to burn it all down.
